I was told by a Ford dealership sales person, when discussing the price increase for the Lightning, that lithium prices have tripled and the cost of the ER Battery was $30k. Who knows what the process will be in 10+ years when "normal" replacement is required. Might even be a different battery technology by then.

You are right. I think they will fix the problem with semiconductor battery. That will make the battery faster to charge and weigh a lot less. It has a problem bleeding form one cell to the next
