Anyone ever think of using the Lightning's Home Backup Power during peak electricity rates to save money on their bill? Is it possible to automatically set it to pull power from the Lightning from 4pm-9pm every day? If so, you could basically make it so you are only paying the cheaper rate for electricity.

That’s an intriguing idea…

We have TOU pricing and from 10Am-9pm the electricity is about 4 times more expensive than at night.

However… if the module to reverse the power from the Lightning is $3700 it’ll be around 18.500 KWH that has to be reversed before we break even.
