Hi All,
Anyone know where Ford is with the 7,500 tax credit. Are we getting close to the cut of number?
We got the 7,500 when we bought the Mach-E, and would really like to repeat that with the F150.

Don't quote me on it, but last time I checked all MY22 for the lightning should still get the rebate

I found this link - only up-to-date as far as June 2020 - so not sure how helpful this is.

From the IRS website:

At this rate, Ford will exceed 200,000 in about 6 quarters - June 2023. However, this is without Lightning sales. If the number of deliveries is just 15,000 for MY22 (delivered in calendar year 2022), then Ford will hit the 200,000 mark by end of December, 2022. So, under today's Section 30D IRS Code, at best, one will get the $7500 if the sale is made this calendar year and after March 2023, the credit will drop to 50%. If the sales exceed the conservative 15,000 number, then that end date will move forward in time.

Unless the EV credit is modified to eliminate the 200,000 cap.

In addition to the 15,000 Lightnings, I would expect the production of Mach-Es and Escape PHEVs to increase this year. Ford will probably reach 200,000 EVs by Q3 this year.

Maybe Ford will hold back some deliveries until Oct 1 to get an extra quarter of EV credits.
