I hope this battery problem is not a danger. So far I only charge my battery with 48 amps and only once a week when it gets down to 50 miles. Most places I go can make it round trip in 50 miles.

I am hoping to hear more detail from Ford. I have had no issues and only charge to 80% typically with my FordChargeStation Pro at 80 amps.

The fact they are not doing a “stop sell” is somewhat encouraging, but I hope we get some transparency from Ford that will enhance my trust.

How long does your 80 amp take from 10% to 80%?
I havent installed my Chargestation Pro yet and just wondering if it will be worth the $4000 ish I will have to pay to upgrade my box and run the lines.
I have used my Tesla charger that is at 40 amp twice so far, but that is about 15-16 hrs.

Hi,

Honestly - I have never let it get as low as 10% while at home. I need to do that test one of these days. Looking back at my charge if logs I seem to see about a 26 mile added every hour on average. Here’s a snapshot from an overnight charge from 69 to 100%:

So 31% in about 5 hours.

I own a 2022 F-150 Lightning Lariat ER. My electrician installed a 240v 50 amp Nema 14-50 outlet in my garage. I use my Ford OEM 32 amp Portable Charger that came with it to charge at home. I sold my 80 amp Ford Pro Charger that also came with it via Sunrun on Ebay...No need for my situation. The 32 amp Portable Charger gives me all I need for overnight charging during my power provider off peak hours.

FWIW, my Ford dealer says 85% is the recommended change level to avoid early battery degradation.
