I guess my question is, how would the rebate be handled for a lease (if Ford allows leases - I wonder if they will test Lightning as a specialty vehicle like Raptor and not offer lease - hmm).Have you heard any information on whether the Federal EV $7500 Rebate will be available on the new Lightning?
How do you write off and f150 on your taxes?I wouldn't see why not. With the ability to write off F-150's on your taxes already, and the EV rebate, I think these trucks will be super popular.

Anything with a GVW over 6000 lbs you can get accelerated depreciation...How do you write off and f150 on your taxes?
The $7500 rebate should apply for at least the first 30,000-50,000 or so purchased as Ford should have about that many of their 200,000 allotted credits available when the truck comes out along with sales of Mach-e vehicles and plug in hybrid escapes. There might be some accelerated depreciation for EVs issued by the new administration, but for now, here's the IRS tax code.

There is a good chance the 200,000 cap gets increased with new legislation as part of Biden’s push for EVs and infrastructure.
