@Gloff
What would be the out the door price. Since we only have the confirmed price for the Pro without options, let’s use that as an example. Would the out the door price be $45,517?

MSRP - $39,974
Sales Tax (9.375%) - $3,748 *
Destination Charge - $1,695 **
Documentation Fee - $100 ***
Total out the door price - $45,517

* Does the sales tax only apply to the vehicle and not to service fees like destination and documentation?
** Will the destination charge be the same as for the ICE F150?
*** Will the documentation fee be the same $100 as for X plan pricing?

We don't have any confirmed pricing.
Out the door depends on where you live. Sounds like you're in California, so you're pretty close, but you're forgetting license, title, and registration. This truck will be heavy, so the weight fee in CA will be pretty high.

Destination is not a service fee, it's going to be baked into the final MSRP, you can't negotiate it, and it's charged equally across the country to all trucks. Otherwise shipping would be more expensive in some places and less in others.

1. Yes, since the MSRP is the taxable amount. Doc. fees in CA are capped at $85, it is also taxable.
2. We don't know yet, but I'd be inclined to believe it will be more due to the weight of the vehicle.
3. Yes, for California. Doc fees are regulated here, and have to be charged to every customer equally regardless of final selling price.

I just read carbuzz is saying we may not be able to order the lightning until next year. Is October 26,2021 when the order bank opens or not.or will this turn into a fiasco like the bronco.

Unsubstantiated rumor speculated by one dealer in Florida. If the order bank is delayed, Ford will let us know.

I took it as a rumor because there were other things in the article that didn't match up with information I had read many times before. I just wanted to get some clarification on the order bank opening for members who follow this site.

Gloff,

Do you expect range estimates to be finalized before ordering begins? Base Rivian ($69K) with 314 mile range and Lariat like interior is sounding better and better to me. Want to make an apples/apples comparison before I know which reservation to order on.

Everything I have read, and all the videos I have seen on the F-150 lightning lead me to believe that the range will be better than advertised. I think ford is under promising and will over deliver.

Hey all!

My name is Sean McLaughlin, I am the on of the EV Specialists here at Serramonte Ford. Some of you may know me from the Focus RS, Bronco, or Maverick forums.

I'm here to help answer questions relating to the Lightning. I have about 10 years experience with Ford here at this store, so I can offer some insight into the dealer side of things. For those of you who have orders with us, feel free to PM me here, or you can reach out to me at the store, direct line is 650-301-7084, or email at [email protected]

I always get asked, so I'll put it here: We are not marking up any Reservation with our store that takes delivery of their order.

We're super juiced for this truck, no pun intended!
Is the october 26th accurate? Do we have to decide if we are going to buy it or lease it? Is there a option list out that’s current? Thanks Bill.

Talked to the sales manager at my local Ford dealer. He said that he spoke to the regional Ford rep last week and was told that Ford has made no official announcement as to when the F150 Lightning order bank will open. The sales manager said that the Ford Regional rep stated that there were only rumors, but nothing official.

Thanks. A real date would be nice. I’m new to ford and especially an electric truck. It’s hard to buy a new truck with limited information. These trucks are getting expensive. when you combine increasing pricing of trucks and new technology, it’s frustrating when all you hear are rumors. For most people, this is a big deal and a lot of decision making. Why doesn’t ford realize this?
